Bitcoin (BTC) popularised the duration of time blockchain. Blockchains, or “decentralized and allotted digital ledgers outmoded to file transactions across a network of computers,” had been around for over thirty years, the household name for a blockchain is Bitcoin.
That’s despite the reality that the Genesis block was mined neatly over 14 years ago when George W. Bush was president and “I Gotta Feeling” by Unlit Eyed Peas topped the charts–Bitcoin is silent prime of the blocks.
